Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program
Executive Robert Ficano created the Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention Program to help residents identify ways to avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes. 
 
The Program has helped thousands of people stay in their homes including those in this video.


Guardian Building
In late 2009, Wayne County moved its central offices into the historic Guardian Building in downtown Detroit. 
 
Not only do employees enjoy a more efficient and productive work environment, but the move saves taxpayers more than $2 million per year.

When the H1N1 virus struck the world in 2009, Wayne County was quick to respond to the crisis by delivering vaccinations to Wayne County’s most vulnerable populations. 
 
Here Executive Robert Ficano thanks the first responders for their dedication.

Pinnacle Grand Opening
Located just south of Detroit Metro Airport, Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano helped celebrate the grand opening of the Pinnacle horse race track in the spring of 2008.
